Tartar removers are subjected to heavy use on a daily basis and are used primarily for prophylaxis over longer periods. This places a great deal of strain on the individual components and various wearing parts such as O-rings, seals, scaler tips, excitation bushing/rotor/oscillating sleeve and oscillating body.

Many of the components such as clutch O-rings or tips can be easily replaced by yourself. In some cases, special tools are required to change inner rotors or O-rings.
