Many different dental instruments are needed every day in the dental practice. It is important to always have a sufficient number of functional dental instruments and tubes ready for hygiene reasons, but also to avoid downtime or long breaks.

In this case, it is also advisable to use used, refurbished instruments. The refurbished instruments from dentrotec are used instruments from purchases that:

• Completely overhauled
• Completely cleaned
• All defective parts replaced

Of course, you will receive the 6-month statutory warranty.

Refurbished or overhauled at dentrotec – what’s the difference?

Dentrotec specializes in new and refurbished instruments , wear parts and spare parts for turbines , dental hoses , angle pieces and more. Since vvk-dental is connected to a specialist workshop, we always have the opportunity to install the dental spare parts offered professionally. Dentrotec and vvk-dental regularly purchase defective instruments from customers who, for example, are converting or giving up their practice. These instruments are then checked, cleaned, all defective components are replaced, O-rings are renewed, assembled and tested.

Refurbished or completely overhauled are not protected terms. Every provider understands these terms differently and it is therefore important to pay attention to the description. Ideally, the used turbine, contra-angle or motor cannot be distinguished from the new dental instrument. This is certainly the case with our used instruments in terms of functionality. Sometimes slight visual defects can appear, but these are noted in the photos. With the used, overhauled dentrotec dental instruments, you can be sure that the instruments have been examined in detail and that you will receive a fully functional instrument that has been perfectly cleaned and overhauled. In any case, you can be sure that - as is unfortunately sometimes the case - they have not just been wiped over.

Dental turbines refurbished

Before being sold, used turbines are always completely cleaned and the O-rings are replaced. Particular attention is paid to the spray channels. As a rule, the turbines are given new rotors with new collets and ceramic ball bearings before they are offered as refurbished or overhauled. A used dental turbine from dentrotec runs quietly and at full power. You should be able to tell that it is used by looking at it, but not by noticing it when you are working.

Elbow – red, green, blue

No matter what the translation, we always strive to offer you the usual quality, even as refurbished instruments. Depending on the offer, you will find contra-angles from Kavo®, Sirona®, W&H®, NSK®, MK-Dent®, BienAir® and others. All contra-angles are completely cleaned before they are offered - with particular attention to the air and water channels - and the O-rings are replaced. Contra-angles usually receive a new head drive, new head drive bearings and a new or an AT intermediate drive. Here too, you should receive a fully functional and smooth-running instrument when you buy it.

Straight handpieces

The reconditioned handpieces from dentrotec are always delivered cleaned, re-stored and tested. Handpieces are very durable instruments that are very easy to recondition. It is important to clean them thoroughly before fitting the new spare parts.

Dental motors

Whether it is a Kavo® K190 / K196 / K200 or BienAir® MC3, Sirona® SL or many other motors, they can all be easily overhauled. The collector and carbon brushes are usually replaced, and the armature is rarely overhauled. You can be sure that every motor is thoroughly cleaned - including the channels - and the O-rings are replaced. ZEG / Scaler

Tartar removal devices are also available. The converter is usually replaced here. They are always thoroughly cleaned and the O-rings are replaced. Here, too, you can see the work carried out in the descriptions.

Hoses for dental units

If a hose on a dental unit is defective, it may be that the unit cannot be used for several days. It is always worth considering whether it would be better to keep the most important hoses as a backup. For financial reasons, refurbished used hoses are a good option. The refurbished hoses from dentrotec always have new inner hoses, and sometimes new outer hoses too; they have not simply been shortened, as is unfortunately often the case. The connections are checked and cleaned. There is also the option of having an existing hose refurbished or of purchasing a cheap third-party hose.
