Laboratory turbines for dental use
Dental laboratory turbines are the perfect turbines for your dental laboratory. They have been specially adapted for processing solid ceramics and can rotate at up to 400,000 - 450,000 rpm. The high speed is responsible for the high-frequency noise, among other things. The turbines are operated with compressed air and are therefore particularly energy efficient.
Turbine rotors for laboratory turbines
Over time, the bearings and the collet of the turbine rotors wear out. If the rotor is defective, the handpiece will knock, the rotor will become very loud or will continue to run for a very long time. The rotor can usually be quickly replaced yourself, for example, the replacement rotors from NSK® are supplied as a cartridge. The dental turbine rotors offered here are made of high-quality material and are durable and easy to replace. These turbine rotors are suitable for dental practices, dental laboratories and are designed to fit turbine handpieces from NSK®, BienAir®, Kavo®, Schick® and Swiss Caver®.
Collet for laboratory turbines
If the ball bearings are still intact, only the collet of the turbine rotor can be replaced. To do this, remove the old collet using a suitable key and insert the new collet. The milling cutter then sits firmly in the rotor again. The collet can only be easily replaced on the NSK®Presto / aqua.
Ball bearings for laboratory turbines
If the turbine handpiece knocks or makes loud noises, it is often due to the ball bearings. The turbine bearings wear out over time, but can also be damaged by a fall or by deposits. The ball bearings on laboratory turbines can also be replaced individually. It is recommended to always replace both ball bearings so that the rotor runs vibration-free again after the change.
Tool for laboratory turbines
Keys for laboratory turbines are required to open the handpiece and access the rotor. There are also insertion tools, e.g. from NSK®, which make it easier to press in the milling cutter. This is particularly necessary when using fine instruments and the collet or rotor is new and still very firm.
