Spare parts from Dentrotec - suitable for dental technology instruments from common manufacturers
Dentrotec specializes in new and refurbished instruments , wearing parts and spare parts for turbines , dental hoses , contra-angles , dental technology and more. If the laboratory turbine or technical handpiece is used a lot, the rotors, ball bearings and collets wear out. The connecting cables can also become porous. Dentrotec offers the right spare parts for all common models such as Schick ®, Kavo ®, Bien Air ®, NSK ® and MVK-line ® laboratory handpieces and laboratory turbines. If you cannot find what you are looking for in the shop, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Collets
Both the collet of the laboratory turbine and the collet of the technician handpiece wear out over time and lose holding power. If the milling instrument is no longer held, it must be replaced promptly in order to be able to continue working reliably. With the right tool, the collet can be replaced quickly and reliably. The range includes suitable collets / clutch for Kavo® K9 EWL, K10, K11, K12, K4, K5, For Schick® C2 Master, SM, C3 Master, Qube, C2 Profi, C1 Junior, T100, For NSK® Ultimate torque and standard, as well as the Presto series, Bien Air® laboratory turbines, such as the TDS890 / 783 and MVK Line technology handpieces. Optionally, the turbine, like other rotating instruments, can be repaired in the affiliated specialist workshop vvk-dental .
Ball bearings for laboratory handpiece and laboratory turbine
High speeds and high axial loads cause ball bearings to wear out mechanically over time. Sometimes they are also overloaded. In addition, when working/grinding, fine dust from plaster or metal penetrates the bearings, which becomes stuck there and thus shortens their service life. In order to be able to withstand the heavy loads, it is essential to ensure that the bearings are of good quality. It is particularly important that the bearing is suitable for the intended use, then nothing stands in the way of comfortable work. There are usually 2 bearings on the handpiece and 2 ball bearings on the motor. In rare cases, the number of bearings can vary, e.g. Kavo® K4 and K5. Please refer to your operating instructions to find out what you need to change the bearings on your technical handpiece or contact us. Please note that handpieces with new ball bearings must first be run in and heat up a little more at the beginning. In the first few hours of operation, the handpiece should not be overloaded axially or radially. Please note that the ball bearings for technical handpieces are maintenance-free. Please do not grease or oil them. Laboratory turbines, on the other hand, should be oiled; please read the operating instructions.
Workshop-quality tools for replacing spare parts
The sensitive handpieces and turbines should only be opened with the appropriate key if possible. Dentrotec's range of spare parts mainly includes tools for changing the collet. Cleaning sets and tools for opening the carbon carrier are also available. Special tools are also available to make repairs easier.
Motor armatures and carbon brushes for dental instruments
If a handpiece smells electrical or the motor stutters, it may be that the collector has worn in. If the armature has a winding fault, the current consumption is too high and the motor has no power. In this case, too, the motor armature must be replaced. In principle, the motor carbon brushes should also be replaced every time the armature is changed. Even if the brushes are worn, they must be replaced. Please also check that the motor armature is intact. In order to ensure long-term operation after changing the armature and/or carbon brushes, it is essential that the laboratory handpiece is thoroughly cleaned.
Drivers and caps for technical handpieces
The cap on the technical handpiece is designed to protect the handpiece from dust. This wears out over time and becomes unsightly and allows dust to pass through. Replacement caps are available from dentrotec under "Spare Parts Laboratory". The cap can be easily screwed on and off. Drivers are also available. Drivers transfer the power from the motor to the handpiece axis. At the same time, they represent a predetermined breaking point in the event of overload, e.g. if the handpiece stops abruptly or gets stuck. Regardless of this, drivers can also simply wear out. This can be noticeable by rough running - similar to bearings. The support ring for Kavo® K9 is also one of the frequently required parts. If the thread is worn out, the cable no longer holds reliably. Sometimes the support ring is also lost during disassembly.
Handpiece cables / wires
The connection cable on the technical handpiece is subjected to a lot of wear and tear during work. The constant movement causes the cables to become brittle over time. The most reliable solution here is to completely replace the cable in order to be able to continue working smoothly and without interruption. We recommend a backup cable to avoid unpleasant surprises and to prevent downtime.
